Guido, (yes...that is his real name!), was born in New Jersey, (that figures!), and his family moved to South Florida when he was 5 years old.
Guido's main interest as a child was playing baseball, and he was pretty good at it too! He grew up in a Roman Catholic family, but they did not have a very strong relationship with the Lord.
One day, at the age of 10, some street evangelists had him pray a "sinner's prayer" for salvation. He never did continue to follow the Lord at that time, but instead, he eventually turned to the world, and began to seek fulfillment in the temporal things. He started to party consistently, played in a rock band, and even decided that he was an atheist!
To make a long story short, the Lord waited for his return, and welcomed him with open arms, and a loving heart. Praise God!
Guido always says, "I was so wrong, for so long!"
Now, Guido has a burning passion for the Lord, and to "make disciples, baptize them, and teach them..." Matthew 28:19-20.
About 3 years ago, the Lord commissioned Guido to pack his things, and go to Austin, TX, in order to plant a church, because the Lord was going to have His way with Austin. So Guido packed up his things and moved to Austin. Now, the Lord has called Guido back to South Florida to start another work there. Guido attended the University of Miami, and Calvary Chapel Bible Institute. Every now and then, you might see him wearing some of his team gear like, the Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes, Miami Heat, Florida Marlins, Florida Panthers, etc...(but don't hold that against him!).
